Love Pink Pin

Bubblegum letters, a heart, a star, and a whole lot of attitude. The Love Pink pin is a graffiti-style love letter to a colour.

It was designed by our current Mr Bear Perth, Mikey (with help from fellow member Hien), whose love of pink is hard to miss — and a happy reminder that there's no one way to be a Bear.

"The whole 'love pink' thing was a running joke throughout WRU, and I knew I wanted something to commemorate it. Something cartoony, with a meme energy people would get a kick out of." — Mikey

Why pink?

For Mikey, pink isn't just a colour — it's armour, joy, and self-expression rolled into one.

"It makes me feel beautiful and confident, like I could walk into a room and own it. It gives me the feeling of happiness that I didn't know I'd been missing." — Mikey

Mikey has chosen QLife — an Australian peer support service for LGBTIQ+ people — as his charity for his year as Mr Bear Perth.

"When I read about QLife's mission, it immediately resonated with me. It made me think of my younger self, wishing I'd known something like this had existed sooner.
