Terms and Conditions
Bears Perth Inc. is an incorporated not-for-profit organisation dedicated to building community spirit and connection within the bear community and the wider LGBTQIA+ family. Founded in 1993, we create safe and welcoming spaces that promote inclusion, respect, and pride.
Our events and activities are about celebrating diversity in looks, identities, and experiences — offering support, representation, and friendship for all male-identifying people, along with their admirers and allies.
By using this website, purchasing tickets or memberships, or attending our events, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.
1. Membership & Events
- All members agree to follow the Bears Perth Constitution, which sets out the rules and values of our club.
- Membership is open to male-identifying people aged 18 or older.
- Guests are welcome at many events; event listings will indicate any restrictions.
- Membership and event fees are non-refundable once paid, unless required by law.
2. Behaviour & Conduct
Bears Perth is proud to host safe, welcoming spaces where all male-identifying people can connect and feel at home. While we love to keep things relaxed and friendly, it’s important that everyone attending our events understands and follows a few key expectations:
- This is a social space, not a sexual one.
Our events are about community and connection, not cruising. You might meet someone special, but our events are not sex-focused or sexually charged environments. - Consent is essential.
Always ask before touching, hugging, or entering someone’s space. No assumptions. - Dress how you like — but stay within venue guidelines.
We want you to express yourself and feel comfortable, whether that’s jeans and a tee or full leather. But as Loton Park is a licensed venue, full nudity is not permitted. - We are proudly inclusive of all men.
Cis, trans, big, small, hairy or smooth — if you identify as male and connect with our community, you're welcome. We are especially proud to support diversity — Mr Bear Perth 2024 is a proud trans man — and we expect all attendees to treat one another with respect and dignity. - Respect differences.
Some folks are chatty, others quiet. Some are neurodiverse. Let everyone engage on their own terms. - No photos without permission.
We protect everyone's privacy. Recording is not allowed unless approved by the committee. - Alcohol is served responsibly.
Enjoy a drink if you like, but please drink responsibly and know your limits. Intoxicated or disruptive behaviour isn’t tolerated.
Look for committee members wearing orange name badges if you need support or have concerns.
The committee may refuse entry, ask someone to leave, or suspend membership where behaviour risks the safety or reputation of the club.
3. Payments & Online Store
- Tickets and memberships can be purchased online or at the door as advertised.
- Prices are in AUD and may change without notice.
- Refunds and exchanges are only provided as required by the Australian Consumer Law.
- Bears Perth Inc. is not registered for GST. Prices do not include GST and no GST is payable.
4. Privacy
Personal information (e.g., membership and contact details) is used for club administration and communication in line with our Privacy Policy.
5. Liability
We take reasonable steps to keep events safe, but participation is at your own risk. To the extent permitted by law, Bears Perth Inc. is not liable for loss, damage, or injury arising from attendance at events or use of this website.
