Welcome to Western Roundup 2026 — a five-day furocious celebration of community, connection, and unapologetic fun. This signature series brings together the bear community and our wider queer family for five unique events, culminating in the much-anticipated Mr Bear Perth 2026 Competition.
Throughout the week you'll have the chance to meet the contestants, see them shine on stage, and cheer them on. Whether you're joining us for one event or all five, you'll be part of a celebration that's pawsitively bold, joyfully inclusive, and distinctly Bear.
We proudly welcome our brethren from other bear clubs, pups, leatherfolk, and all members of our vibrant and diverse queer family. Most events are open to all genders — everyone is welcome to come celebrate with us. Only Growl Underbear is limited to male and male-identifying attendees.

About the Mr Bear Perth Competition
The Mr Bear Perth title isn't just about one fabulous night — it's a platform for community leadership, visibility, and connection. Contestants compete not only for the sash but for the chance to be the top bear in the biz, representing Bears Perth at events throughout the year and at the Mr Australasia Bear competition in Melbourne the following June. It's about showing pride, building bridges, and embracing the full strength and diversity of our bear community — because every bear has their day.
Contestants are judged on interviews, community engagement, and three thrilling stage rounds: Everyday Bear, Bear Essentials, and Time to Shine. Expect bold looks, creative flair, and powerful performances that celebrate what it means to be part of this community.
All contestants identify as male or male-presenting, but the event warmly welcomes support from all genders and corners of our community.

Growl Underbear
Strip down and let loose at our infamous UnderBear party. Expect steamy action and burly men as we dance and cruise the night away. This one's not for the faint-of-fur.

- Held at a licensed sex-on-premises venue — first-timers can learn more here

Mr Bear Perth Competition
