Our incredible contestants will take to the stage for three fierce and fabulous rounds, all vying for the title and sash of Mr Bear Perth. Expect a show packed with personality, community, and heart. There will be laughs, maybe even a few tears, and above all, a whole lot of fun. Mr Bear Perth isn’t just a title—it’s a celebration of visibility, leadership, and the values that make our bear scene thrive. The winner will become a community ambassador for Bears Perth, representing the club at events locally and abroad—including the prestigious Mr Australasia Bear competition in Melbourne next June. Contestants are judged on interviews, community engagement, and three thrilling stage rounds: Everyday Bear, Bear Essentials, and Time to Shine. Expect bold looks, creative flair, and powerful performances that celebrate what it means to be a part of this community. Dress to impress—or come as you are. Leather, pup gear, casual wear, or whatever makes you feel confident and comfortable is welcome. New this year, Burgers and Trivia kicks off the Western Roundup series with a relaxed and social evening, ideal for competitors, Bears Perth members, and guests to meet, eat, and showcase their trivia prowess. Less formal than a typical quiz night, attendees can participate solo, join with a friend, form a trio, or create a team of four on the night. Trivia questions will cover an entertaining blend of general knowledge, bear-themed facts, pop culture, LGBTQIA+ history, and more. The winning team will walk away with a special prize, bragging rights included! Hosted at Grill'd Scarborough, enjoy delicious burgers with vegan options available. To shell-ebrate the launch of the Bears Perth Discord Server, we're doing it the way any good gamer should, with a Mario Kart tournament! Join us as our Bears bump and grind to the finish line to determine who will be the inaugural champion of our gaming tournaments. Loton Tennis Club will be transformed into a gaming den, with the major event on the big screen and some retro gaming set up for play too (Who'd thought CRT's would ever see the light of day again!)
